The Iconic Wigwam Building was selected in 2006, by a contest sponsored by Atlanta Architects and the Atlanta Journal and Constitution, and voted on by the citizens of Atlanta as being one of the 100 most important buildings in Atlanta and one of the five most important of its decade.
The Wigwam located at 589 Auburn Avenue was restored in April 2004, winning the 2005 Atlanta Urban Design Award of Excellence in Rehabilitation and the Georgia Trust 2005 Award for Historic Preservation.
With a forties design, features include tiled bathrooms with retro fixtures, balconies, large rolled steel corner windows with great views, beautiful kitchens, stainless appliances, and bamboo floors.
The Wigwam Building is one of Atlanta's Architectural gems located in the heart of the Martin Luther King Jr. Historic District. It is close to shops dining, cultural and athletic venues. And to top it off it was awarded a ten year property tax abatement for the restoration. |
